Sure it’d be better restored and on the roads but honestly taking a broken classic that catches people’s eye and wrapping it in yours business advertising seems like a win win. Even better if it runs and you drive it around. Some areas prohibit this style of advertising as it skirts the law about signage per sq foot of frontal space of your businesses building. Seems like buying some clean clunkers and keeping them registered to rent to businesses so they can wrap them a few months at a time could be a way to horde cars and break even.

I have always like the thought of renting out the space on a car for advertising. I wonder how much it’s worth.

Guessing it would be based on tons of factors, size if market you live in, size of ad you allow maybe even a calculation based on miles traveled as well. But with a clunker sitting out side of a business and acting as a billboard that worth could be ratcheted up because it is essentially a larger than allowed billboard and business front signage is very expensive.

There are companies that do that, I know someone that has a vinyl wrap on his Hyundai - drives around for a few months, then they swap it out for a new advertiser. Not sure how much he gets, but he’s told me that it basically makes his daily commute free; since the car’s already paid off, I assume that means it is covering a good share of his gas, insurance, and maintenance.

I saw one that said you could make around $400-$800. It just seemed like one of those weird things like carsponsors.com.
